Happy Mother’s Day!
This Monday, the kids from the local Day Care Center will be stopping by the parish office for a tour. It is part of a series of field trips they will make to area businesses. The young kids will be welcomed by Maria the new business manager, along with Nancy, Susan, the money counters, and myself. I bet the biggest attraction in the office will be the automatic m&m candy dispenser on the desk! With Danielle’s hasty leaving, and new office staff learning on the fly,I hope the kids won’t notice pandemonium, but instead, a smooth operation! Haha!
On the same subject, the Diocese has been helping the office through the transition. They sent us Mary, a Diocesan official from the Finance Department to train and keep the office working proficiently. Luckily too, the parish was selected to enter a new program offered by the Diocese to handle all the bookkeeping and accounting off campus through the Diocesan Finance Department. We were one of three selected out of all the parishes throughout the state. I am so thankful because this will help us tremendously.
Thank you for welcoming Mr. Len Campbell from Catholic Charities during our annual appeal last weekend. During his talk, he mentioned how we can pray for Catholic Charities, its mission, and those they help. Also, that 93 cents of every dollar goes toward helping the needy. That’s pretty impressive. God bless you for your support.
While NH Catholic Charities helps locally, our parish Rice Bowl collection, held during the Lenten Season raised $549.00 for CRS, Catholic Relief Services which helps the needy globally. Thank you for your generosity.
May God continue to bless our parish community here in the White Mountains.
