May the month of Our Lady

Greetings:

Please welcome Nancy Sweeney to our office staff! Nancy is a long time parishioner here at St. Joseph’s, member of Parish Pastoral council and Coordinator of Homebound Visits. So happy she is here to serve!

May is the month of Mary, Our Lady, and so during the Month of May, we will display our statue of Mary in front of the Altar. To honor our Blessed Mother, the children in our Faith Formation program will crown Her with flowers. We will do this at the beginning of the 10AM Mass this Sunday after the opening procession. Please join us! After Mass refreshments will be served downstairs. Ms. Anderson will make cupcakes in the shape of a Rosary for everyone to enjoy. The parish Knights will also supply coffee and doughnuts. Let us honor Our Lady by praying the Rosary each day…and especially during the month of May. If it’s been a while since you prayed the Rosary, there are free “how to” brochures and rosaries for the taking near the “poor box.” Please help yourself.

This weekend Masses will feature our guest speaker from Catholic Charities, Mr. Leonard Campbell. He will speak to us about the wonderful things and the lives that are changed for the better, through the works of Catholic Charities here in New Hampshire. This collection will be our annual appeal to give toward this fruitful work. Please welcome Mr. Campbell and make a much needed donation, using the envelopes in the pews. Thank you.

There will be no daily Mass this Tuesday and Wednesday, because I will be attending the Annual Priests’ Conference in Whitefield, NH. I will be here Thursday, for the Feast of the Ascension, which is a Holy Day of Obligation. Please attend one of the Masses and celebrate the Lord’s Ascension into Heaven, back to our Father, preparing a place for each one of us!

May God bless you!
