Please welcome Nicole Plourde from Catholic Charities, who will be here at each Mass to speak to us about the good works Catholic Charities is doing through our generous support. This annual appeal for Catholic Charities of New Hampshire helps the local area so much! The second collection this weekend is for this worthy cause. Please be as generous as possible.
At the 10:00 am Mass this Sunday, May 5, the children in Religious Education/ Faith Formation program will crown our Blessed Mother Mary Statue. Little Nolan Haynes will do the honors, as we sing to Our Lady, celebrating Her in the Month of May. Ave Maria! Join us downstairs after Mass for a potluck luncheon, and the Knights will provide toasted bagels and cream cheese as well as coffee and doughnuts.
I will be away the beginning of this week, as the priests and Bishop of the Diocese of Manchester gather for our annual Convocation. It is part of the priest’s continuing education program. This year’s seminar is titled: Priesthood in the Early Church, presented by Dr. John Sehorn, Assistant Professor of Theology at the Augustine Institute. We will reflect on the gift of the Priesthood along with praying the Divine Liturgy together and find some time for fellowship. Please keep me in your prayers, as I will keep you.
May the Blessed Mother Mary keep us surrounded in Her mantle of care, both parishioners and the many visitors of our little parish here in the White Mountains.
