This November, the children in St. Joseph’s Faith Formation classes are focusing on the two greatest commandments: loving God and loving our neighbor.
With Thanksgiving approaching, we are reminded of the importance of sharing our blessings by one of the corporal acts of mercy, “give food to the hungry”.
We invite our fellow parishioners and visitors to participate in the Faith Formation Food Drive the weekend of November 15 & 16.
Our children will be placing baskets at the entrances of the church to collect unexpired, non-perishable food items which will be donated to the Lincoln Woodstock Food Pantry. Suggested items include: jars of peanut butter jelly, cans of soup, tuna fish, or chicken and dry goods such as pasta, rice, and cereal. Cash donations will also be accepted.
Thank you in advance for your generosity. Let’s make this Thanksgiving a time of great gratitude for the blessings we have received from God and a time of giving to and loving our neighbor.
