Student Virtual Event

St. Joseph Parish,

I’m reaching out to you to let you know about a young adult (18-35)/college student virtual event.  JESUS aCROSS the Border, a Catholic Young Adult group (based here in NH) is having a Virtual College Night with Fr. Mike Schmitz of Ascension Presents.  This will be this coming Friday, May 1, at 7:00pm EDT.  In this trying time, this will be an excellent opportunity for young adults to connect.  I ask you to invite them to this free event and/or post it to your social media/webpage.  Attached is a flyer for the event.  Thanks so much!!!

Sorry this is coming so late, but I was just asked to reach out!  God Bless.

Grace and Peace.

“Tell aching mankind to snuggle close to My merciful Heart, and I will fill it with peace.”
-Jesus, as quoted in St. Faustina’s Diary, #1074
“To ecstasy, I prefer the monotony of sacrifice.”
“To remain little is to recognize our nothingness.”
“Sacrifice is the food of love.”
-St. Therese of Lisieux

“Scripture is not only divinely guaranteed, it is divinely true. The Spirit did not only dictate it; he is, as it were, contained in it. He inhabits it. His breath perpetually animates it. The Scripture is ‘made fruitful by a miracle of the Holy Spirit.’ It is ‘full of the Spirit.'”
-Henri de Lubac

“Truth means lovingly accepting the will of God from moment to moment and carrying it out.”
-Hans Urs von Balthasar

Coronavirus Update

  • In view of the requirements of the Diocese of Manchester and the mandate of Bishop Peter Libasci during this medical emergency, beginning March 17, 2020, all public Masses are to be cancelled both during the week and on the weekend. St. Joseph’s Church will be available to individuals for private prayer. Father Elson will celebrate Mass privately every day for the intentions of the people and Mass will not be suspended or changed.

In Addition:

  • All special Faith Formation and Parish events (the Easter Basket Drive, Crowning of Mary, Bake Sales, Faith Formation’s End of Year Celebration, St. Joseph’s Feast dinner) are cancelled or postponed until further notice.
  • There will be no First Reconciliation preparation classes this year. We will work with those students in the fall.
  • Faith Formation students will complete on-line Personal Safety lessons at home. Students will also continue to work on their Gospel Weekly lessons.
  • Parish Pastoral Council meetings are cancelled until further notice.

Please let Father Elson know if you have any questions or concerns. Take care of yourself, your loved ones, and your neighbors. Pray for an end to this and healing for all. Until we meet again…
