The Book of Revelation 21:5 says: “And He who sat upon the Throne said: Behold, I make all things new.” Jesus through His redemptive offering of Himself in His suffering and death redeems us and makes us new in Him. “…by His stripes we were healed” Isaiah 54:5.

In Baptism, we have been washed clean through the blood and water that flowed from His side while on the cross, making us a new creation in Him. As we fall short and sin, because of our human nature, the Sacraments of the Church are here to refresh, restore, and renew us. May we continue to make Jesus, in the Eucharist, the source and the summit of our Faith and our Life.

Our Parish Capital Campaign is going strong! See the progress of the Campaign, by the boots trekking the papier-mâché mountain, (made by parishioner, Ms. Annie Anderson) located near the poor box, inside the church. If you haven’t made a contribution or a pledge toward this worthy cause, and would like to support the Parish, please fill out a pledge card (found in the pews and near the mountain) and especially, please pray for its success using the Campaign Prayer (written by parishioner, Ms. Denise Rush)… and “thank you!”

Please consider becoming a Knight. We recently resumed our Knights of Columbus Council here at St. Joseph’s and we have over 30 members. We meet once a month for our business meeting which consists of: prayer, some laughs, and good eats! You may be as active in the Council as you wish. Brochures are near the bulletins and please contact our Grand Knight, David Paradis for more info.

Invite a friend to join you, as we embark on the holiest week in the calendar year. Please refer to the bulletin or our homepage for the schedule. Also included in this bulletin is an informational insert explaining The Triduum. I hope it’s helpful to you.

I especially encourage you to attend the Easter Vigil Mass this year.  Saturday, April 20^th at 8:00pm we will begin the liturgy in darkness, only to be broken by the light of the blessing of the New Fire inside the church. At this most Holy liturgy, Warren Bahr will be welcomed into full communion in the Church; we are all so happy! Come support him! It usually finishes around 9:30pm.      

Monday, throughout the Diocese (State of NH) every parish will hold Confessional hours. (Please check each individual parish’s hours of confession on their websites). I will be in the confessional this Monday, April 15^th from Noon until 1:00pm and 5:00pm until 6:00pm.

Notice “flower envelopes” in the pews.  Please jot the names of loved ones on them, and place in either collection basket.  Your loved ones will be prayed over on the Altar throughout the Easter Season.  Any donations will help purchase the lilies, flowers, and decorations that will adorn our Altar for Easter.

We are in our final stretch of the Season of Lent. Please deposit your Rice Bowls in the basket near the Altar. Also, any old blessed palms may go in the container located near the entrance.

Next Sunday is Palm Sunday, followed by Holy Week. Please keep the Liturgical schedule handy. Invite a friend to come with you. This year, during the Easter Vigil, (April 20th @ 8:00pm) we are delighted to welcome into the Catholic Faith, Mr. Warren Bahr. Warren will receive both Confirmation and First Holy Communion. The perception of the Easter Vigil is that it’s a “lengthy Mass”, however, I personally believe, it is the most beautiful and precious of all the liturgies throughout the year; and for what it celebrates, how could it not be?! So trust me, come, and you will not be disappointed!

May we continue to grow in Faith and Love through our Lenten disciplines of: increased prayer, fasting and giving to the poor.
