Jesus Rides With Me

Saint Columbanus is the patron saint of motorcyclists. He became a monk in Ireland in the mid-seventh century, but because of his love for the open road, he traveled throughout Western Europe, moving from one monastery to another, even crossing the Alps on foot.  Let us pray to St. Columbanus for the safety of all  motorcyclists during Laconia Bike Week 2023!

Faith Formation

This year’s Faith Formation students have wrapped up  another year of learning and fun! Our elementary students met weekly in person, and our middle school students   did their lessons online. In addition to learning more about our faith, we got together for a pool party in August to  celebrate our learning in 2021-22 and to kick-off this year; made Advent calendars for the Christmas season; led the Stations of the Cross one Friday during Lent; packed   Easter gift bags for children who attended Mass over   Easter weekend; and had a Catholic Jeopardy tournament for the final class of the year last week!

Thanks to Karen Gallagher and Kathleen McDermott     who helped with the elementary students and to Annie  Anderson who worked with the middle school students.

And finally, congratulations to Camden Anderson, Ian    Anderson, and Max Whitman who completed their final year of formal Faith Formation! Please pray for them and all our students as they continue their journey to grow   closer to God and discover ways they can be His presence in their community, their school, and their families.

Paula King, Faith Formation Co-Chairperson
